I personally don't have the exhaust, but did a lot of research into it. From my understanding the people that didn't have any problems from the purchase to the install are few and far between. I have heard complaints with customer service, lack of install directions, fit and finish, ect. Also the pipes can rub the back tyre if you have a pillion or a rear hugger. That is not to say YOU will have any problems. But I've decided to go with the Two Bros. system. Good luck with your decision.

:D Had slight problems with getting the system from Wolf USA. Would suggest you deal with the factory in U.K. if possible. The problems were I wanted the titanium canisters was shipped the carbon fibre. Wanted the restrictors and ordered at the same time but no restrictors. Called and explained that to Wolf USA and also told them that after fitting the carbon fibre canisters I liked them and would keep them but please send restrictors. After about a month and a half and several e-mails I finally got the restrictors. They fit with no problems but I am a Auto Mechanic for about 25 years now and have a little experience. Also you need to replace the gasket at the header to slip on tailpipe part and you should slot that pipe where it connects to the factory pipe. Then it will slip over the new gasket easier. One other thing the new battery box is all metal and it is a tight fit to put in the stock battery. I am thinking of checking into another size battery taht will fit the box better. Good luck if you do decide to go this route as it makes a great sounding good looking bike. The newbeeeee

One other thing with the instalation of the pipes. They give you a new shock link that actually raises the bike so your pipes don't contact the tire. It raised the rear end about an inch to an inch and a half. Bad for the shorter set but now the bike turns in so good.

I've seen pictures of this model with an underseat exhaust, I think its from wolf, but I seem to get negative response from wolf . can anyone help me? ???

From what I understand, Wolf has stopped making this system, mostly for the reasons above, I would guess. And it does NOT come with any provisions for mounting your license plate, so you have to fabricate something. My guess is that this was intended mainly fr the track. There's a system on eBay right now...carbon fiber cans anda plate mount...starts at $400 US and Buy It is $600 US. he just bought it a month or so ago on eBay and is selling it, so i would have to think he's had some probs too.

That was me with the Wolf system on eBay. I can't say I had any real 'problems' with it, other than heat. I'm in the Sacramento area and riding around, in town, in 103-104 degree F summer weather. The bike runs hot already, then you add in the heat, left and right, from the connector pipe. The replacement battery box is steel and sits in roughly the stock location, but right in front of the connector pipe. The battery box, front half of the new underseat tray and the battery itself would often be too hot to touch - again this was after running around town in 100+ temps. I think it would perform much cooler in a different environment, but I need a bike I can ride year round w/o issues.

I didn't have any problems with clearance to the rear tire, but I do have an Ohlins fitted.

Wolf isn't making these anymore and only made 50 during the production run. Best bet to find one is probably to keep an eye on eBay. Good luck.

    Mike

My friend bought a used Wolf undertail for his 99. dont know if it added any power, but it was the best sounding V4 I've EVER heard. It sounded like a V8 Indycar before they went to turbos. He paid 1000 for the exhaust used on eBay. It was worth every penny. If I could find one, I'd buy it. My '99 has a Two Bros high mount which sounds good.. His sounded unbelieveable.
