Howdy, I'm Andrew (Mouce). I'm 25 and located in Houston, Texas.

I've already signed up for my MSF BRC class, and downloaded a 90-97 service manual in pdf form.

A friend of a friend has decided it was time to spawn, so i acquired my first bike, a 94 VFR750. She used it for a commuter bike (it has 45,852 miles as of this posting), so i brought it home, changed the oil, cleaned the chain, checked my tire pressures, took a look at the coolant condition, and made sure the battery was charged and she was ready to go. As it has been told to me the bike was dropped once on one side, and knocked over by someone as it sat in a parking lot on the other side. I'm slightly embarrassed to admit that i dropped it in my driveway a few days ago (fortunately i only broke a peg off, which should be here by Wednesday).

I'm already planning on swapping out to a mosfet regulator (Thanks to a thread here, i want to make it as low maintenance as possible), and have been eyeballing a set of R&G frame sliders. I've already remounted the taillights (the tabs were broken off so i had to fab up a simple bracket), and am planning on repairing (plastic welder) and repainting the fairings (red) i do have so she doesn't show her age quite as much.

So, with that all said, i'll leave you guys with some pictures (so as not to anger the VFR gods).

Nice find! Be assured the gods are mollified for now, but may require more pics when you mod her. As she isnt a new girl and has seen her fair share, do both of you a favor and check all electrical connections. Mostly frame connections and high current connections (read as all connections with bigger wires going through them. Or at least the ones from stator to rr to battery.)
Good to hear your going to clean her up. The vfr gods may even smile upon you for this.

About the funny farm. . . . Well as my wifes family put it: you have to be crazy to ride a bike. So crazy we are!

    I appreciate the warm welcome!

Installed my replacement pegs (Emgo aftermarket, aluminum finish) yesterday, waiting on the new r/r (hopefully will show up tomorrow).
I've only had her for a few weeks, but i think i'm in love. Of course the only other bike i've ridden is my buddy's ninja650, and compared to that it seems much more refined and comfortable.
