    Hi all!

Just hoping for a little advice.

I own a 1986 Honda VFR 750F (RC24). I can get almost a complete 1984 Honda VFR 750F engine, carbs, etc (no body or frame) for next to nothing.

I understand they are different generations... but are there many parts interchangeable between these models? If so it might be worth buying.

    Thanks.

the 1984 isn't a "VFR". It's a "VF" if someone is advertising as a VFR they are mistaken. They are completely different bikes. Different engine, different frame. It would be like if you owned a Honda Fit, and bought a Ridgeline engine for spare parts.
