That's a good deal. Congrats. Pictures need to be posted here. Each day you wait to post pictures is a $100 fine.

I'm not real sure how to attach a picture here but I'll try. He had some goofy stickers on the side farings I'm in the middle of removing, so don't mind this in there pictures.

Are those original tires on there? If so, take a real close look for checking on the sidewalls of the rear. Tires that came with these bikes were cheap shit Dunlops. If that is what is still on the fear I would be thinking about changing that one too.

Yup, Cheap dunlops. After checking the codes on them front looks to be the OG, rear from 2010. Rear looks to be in pretty good shape. No rot little wear. Front is freaking scary, I pretty sure I could puncture it with a spoon. When I saw it, I was nervous to even test ride it. Thanks for the heads up.

You did steal that thing at $2700. Good for you.

Do yourself a favor - just get rid of the tires. Both of them. With the price you got that bike for, its easily justifiable to replace them. Even if the Dunlop was brand new, its universally known to be one of the crappiest tires out there.

Some old Chinese guy said once, " A picture is worth a thousand words." Probably a drawing or a painting rather than a JPEG. I hear that Chinese characters can mean several words. I get this from watching lots of chop socky movies where kung foo dudes have these really cool conversations with lots of whooping and hollering and there will be only one character on the screen that looks like a birdhouse that got in the way of the famous "Flying running fire breathing snorting scaly dragon kick" invented by Bruce Lee's second cousin who was born in Chicago and changed his name to Bruce. His real name is Gordon.

Nice pic but IMO ya really ought to get somebody who knows about the bike to give you a hand on seeing if its a winner or a POS.

BTW, one picture ain't worth thirtythree hundred pesos either.

Two 'lektrickal checks need to be made straight away on a VFR: charging system output voltage and proper working condition of the thermoswitch that turns on the fan at higher engine temps. Failures are common on both items. One will strand you in the boondocks, while the other can lead to engine failure.

Thank you squirrelman, this is definitely the kind of pointers I'm looking for, the trouble spots. I will check those areas out.
