Shhhhhhh... divevfr, SHE is part of the Canadian Secret Service.... making sure all will be ready to Randys road trip.... she got a little sidetracked wondering if she could ride my VFR. I explained she would need to wear a helmet but mine wouldn't fit over her beak... she is helmet shopping. for next time...

 

Damned you people. Penguins are from the southern hemisphere. It may be cold enough here but we have polar bears not penguins. Now Chicky. Get one of them fuggers to sit on your bike and you have something to brag about.

Yes, Randy, you are correct. She is an African Penguin, but there are some penguins that live in the Northern Hemisphere. It was a really cool story until you ruined it. And... for the record, that IS my bike that she is sitting on. So Yes... Ima bragging!

Sorry Chicky. Cool shot. I have tried to get pix with my bike and wildlife and the closest I have got was on my retirement ride down there in Santa Paula with that damned noisy peacock. Hey. Your bike with wild life. A phot contest challenge?

So I really think it begs the question, "Where were you parked that was close enough for a Penguin to throw a leg over your bike?"

Lets face it, I'm relatively certain that Penguins don't exactly roam the countryside in large numbers. Since you're from Vegas, I would guess either a zoo or a casino??

 

Idk, it was about -6°F for my 15 mile ride home. Weather like this I'm expecting to hit a penguin more than a deer.

 

A Fish and Game LEO is on his rounds. He hears shotgun fire. A guy is shooting seagulls. The LEO makes the guy stop and starts to write him up. The guy tells the LEO he is an unemployed forest worker and is trying to feed his family.

The LEO is sympathetic and lets the guy off with a stern lecture and a warning that he cannot shoot seagulls.

He asks the guy what seagulls taste like.

The guy tells him they taste something like spotted owls and bald eagles.

 

When I saw penguin in the ttle I thought it was a VFR at Penguin track school. lol

 

I actually picked her up and allowed her to throw a... flipper-foot?... over my bike. I was parked outside a house and she belongs to the owner of the home. I help take care of her and a myriad of other birds while the regular caregiver recovers from surgery. She is the cutest little thing and follows me everywhere. Just took the pic for fun, then decided to share it here...
