Well, i've been reading for the last couple of months, so its time to introduce myself.
I'm Bobby and i'm from Bulgaria and i have motorcycle addiction.

I ride (or will) a '03 silver VFR with 24k miles on the clock.
This is my second bike, i had a Kawasaki GPZ(ninja) 500 for two years before that.
I liked the little bike, but i wanted something newer, modern, with full fairing and bigger engine.
I thought that the CBR f4i is the great bike for me, but i'm almost 2 meters heigth and i look funny on this bike.
It is just too little for me. I tried a friends 5 gen vfr and decided that this was the bike for me.
Found a good one near me, imported from California. I knew the previous owner was a maniac on maintance, so there was no thinking.
Good price too. Got it for ~3800$. The bike is almost stock.
It has a K&N air filter, seat cowl and MRA touring screen. And a Givi topcase brackets.

The first thing i did was to strip the fairings and see what is underneath.
All was original, although i knew the bike had a little slide on the left. All was done well.
I inspected the wiring. It looked in fairly good condition, just showing first signs of HONDA electrical problems.
I contacted the local dealer and for my surprise, honda decided to do the recall even here, on the other side of the ocean.
So the bike is there now for a whole month now :sour: But i hope to get it this week :eagerness:

So here is the bike as i got it

Thanks mate, i'm very happy with the bike.
I managed to do only 2-300 miles, but the bike is great.
I realy see the problems with the flapper and the pair valves.
It was hard for me the first few times to go from first gear without stalling.

I didn't do anything on them, just because i was worried if the dealer will make problem for this.

Can you tell me what KUDO means? :shame:

Welcome to the site and great on you for posting pix. I can see where you might be scratching your head around here trying to understand what some of us say if English is your second language. Like "Okyfuckindoky" No such word. But basically means "OK' or I understand. Usually spelled and spoken as Okeydoky but above it is used with a Duccmanese accent. Duccmanese is a very rare species of man....we think.

"Okyfuckindoky" is not a problem for me. I'm studying the "Duccmanese" for a couple of years
About the GPZ, i really hate myself for selling the bike. it was the perfect city bike. I had e few problems with it, but it was all because of the PO. He has removed the head for some reason, and used silicone for sealant instead of normal gasket, so you get the idea.

Here is a pic (looks like you like them)
    IMG_20130313_131659.jpg

BTW i got an 8 spoke wheel last week. Cant wait to get the bike and try it.
If i don't like it, i'll put it on ebay.

8 spoke wheel is "dah-shizzle." Serioulsy though, what a beautiful wheel! I did the head on mine with no problems, OEM is the key, did replace the cam chain tensioner though. Great city bike as its light as shite.

Welcome aboard, btw, I call those PO bikes compromised "finger-fucked." which is why I try to stear clear of them especially if you wana have a lasting relationship with it.

Thanks mate, here in Bulgaria, bikes are impossibly cheep, cars too. Although this only applies on used ones.
All new bikes and cars are almost twice the prices compared to US.
I got a call from the dealer today, i'll have to wait at leas two more weeks for the bike recall to be done. It is there already a month and these stupid d*ckheads aint doing nothing :chaingun: Well i'll just have to wait.
I'll upload a photo of the rear wheel later.

I want to ask you for advice. I was thinking in repainting the bike in black, than i thought about this color scheme:
    http://www.freedommotorcycles.com.au/auto/sb-plugin-gopix/VFR800White/vfr800white.jpg

But when i think about it, i'm not sure it is worth the time and the money, as the paint is in mint condition now.
I'm wondering if i should make the new rear wheel silver again, or leave it white as it is atm (will paint the front too).

    What do you guys think?

Leave the bike and 8 spokes wheel alone
I will fly over and :chairshot: if you repaint them.

If you choose to re-colour those wheels. I would suggest that powder coating is better than paint. Some here will argue about that but my opinion is that the powder is far more durable than the paint. Thing is though, you need to remove the old clear coating on your wheels with some sort of media blasting before you powder them. If I am not mistaken, yours has no colour to them, they are just clear coated aluminum. I am sure that is what mine turned out to be. The front wheel is kinda rough so you may have to coat that one twice with a light sanding between, to fill in the gullies in the surface. Maybe not.

Now if you plan to go white, prepare to have a bike that looks fugly as hell, or be willing to spend lots of time cleaning the brake dust and chain fling off those pups. I do like the white, depending on the colour of your bike of course, but they are a lot of work.
