    I took my 1986 vf500 to 115 yesterday. I loved it.
The old thing is shuttered a little at that speed. I am going to do it a few more times maybe try to sustain it for more then 2 seconds once I get my new front tire. After that I am ganna get on my friends r6 and go 160 and see if I can make myself shit my pants. I cant wait.

in a couple of months I think I am going to get a 1000cc bike or higher.

after the 160 I plan on a 185 run then who knows. Maybe im geting ahead of myself but I love it.

Did you read the Squid post??? I don't know what your experience level is, but its about so much more than going fast. Don't get me wrong I do 125-150 every time I think I can get away with it, just don't make the speed your obsession its a good way to end up dead quick. Do the world & your fellow riders a favor & develope your skills, take some advanced riding courses or at the very least log some miles before upgrading to a litre bike. If you are an experienced rider forgive me your post just ozzes "rookie":attention:

I did accutally take it to 115... I honestly think I just had to get it outa my system. I am going to slow down.

I dont think im ganna take my bike past 100 anymore its just to old and I need to go though the bike at least before I do something like that again. These are amazing machines. Next year im going to get something newer just to keep up with my friends r6. That bike is fast I rode it around and damn. I am sure I will accutally ride my vf500 more then anything new I get.

Oh and I did deserve flameage  I was drunk when I posted the first post

OK, Kudos for at least being honest about deserving the flames. But, be careful as the others suggested. I have worked too many motorcycle wrecks in the last month. Where the people injured were going way to fast. Ride safe and smart!

    You Know? Maybe it's me?

when I first got my VF700F I took it off of the 293 onramp in Manchester and exelerated of the ramp and just ran throught the gears... When I finally had the courage to look down at the speedo I realized 125 was slipping to almost 130 and I ralized yeah that was enogh for me....

I just picked up my 02 VFR and got onto route 3 and ran through the gears nice and easy and realized...... Nah..... 80 is a nice crusing speed I do not really need to know how fast it will go...

    Am I getting old?
