Thanks zoom-zoom. This is exactly what I was after. One last question. In your opinion (literally a seat of the pants measurement), when you sitting on each seat, does the stock Honda seat compress more than the Sargent? Just a subjective opinion here.

    Great stuff, very helpful.

If I were to judge by seat of the pants I would have to say both seats have similar foam with very similar give when pressure is applied. If there is a difference I would say that when sitting, the stock seat compresses more because your weight is applied over a smaller area leading to increased point pressure. The Sargent seat is wider and shaped more like a bowl and when riding you sit more IN the seat as opposed to ON the seat if you know what I mean. As a result your weight is more evenly distributed across the seat surface so it does not compress as much.

If I were to judge the seats as to which foam compresses more evenly, I would say that the Sargent seems to compress and rebound more likely memory foam and feels softer. The stock seat foam compresses and rebounds more quickly and feels stiffer.

    Hey Kavo,

Seat is wonderful. I have one on my Ducati 900SS also. I did not have a problem at stops. 6'1" long legs, the issue was first priority/issue was that my crotch getting jammed into the tank by the stock seat angle and 2nd was if possible, I wanted to create a bit less leg bend in on the pegs. The trade off was the Sargent seat and slightly lower pegs. No more crotch jamming, more comfortable seat that holds me in place when needed and with the pegs lowered a bit, bettering leg angle. The lower pegs had no effect on my lean angle, I can still get down on the tire edge, basically no chicken strips at all.

    I am happy.
