Hi all, I'm trying to remove the upper fairing on my 1984 VF500F2 - the Euro one with the full fairing. I've removed the shoulder bolts and the storage compartments that sit either side of the fuel tank inside the fairing. The fairing comes away with the headlamp still attached as far as I can tell. However, for the life of me I can't tell how the fairing comes away from the frame that holds it onto the bike. The Clymer manual is of no use. I've tried Googling but no joy so far. Can anyone help!?!?! Thanks, Paul.
I tried to follow this advice from MPH Racing on another thread I hijacked: "Should be 2 screws under the headlight holding the top to the frame work. There is 2 rubber line up bushings that are a pain to get the fairing off of. Just pull straight away from the headlight and they should let go of the fairing. The none FII has the 2 screws under the light, 2 Screws on small brackets on the frame just below the gas tank. After those are off you pull the fairing forward and they will come off the rubber bushings with a little force." I can't see two screws under the headlight.
