I think I speak for the other members as well, when I say our condolences are with you and your family.

It is rare that a Mom will support their son or daughter in riding motorcycles, you were blessed.

She will be with you every time you ride.

I know just what you mean. A friend asked me to post her car for sale on CL for $2000, and I had guys emailing me asking if I would take $1000.
It was already priced very aggressively, and we got a tremendous response, but everyone that tried to lowball it got a higher number in return.

The guy that emailed me asking if I'd take $1000 got an email reply that said "$3,500"

I'm serious taylor65. If no one takes her home by a month or so, I'm very interested. I just need to get my tax return back...

Sorry for your loss, my mother is still doing ok and she refers to my black bike aka vfr as hers. Wish she was younger and not a nut job where I could take her for a ride. :vtr2:

Sorry about your Mom Taylor. As we all know, no one gets out alive. Lost my Sister, Dad and now Moms got Alzheimer's. I'm sure shes smiling about your decision. Be safe in the dirt as well, not much safer as we all have read lately.

Thanks everyone. I havent been getting on here lately but it appears someone in birmingham is interested in it. Maybe he will get it. Will be a sad day to see it go. But its time someone else gets to enjoy her.
Thanks again for all the condolences. I lost my dad in 07 but losing mom doesnt even compare. We all know its coming one day but it still doesnt make it hurt any less. God bless you all

If the person in Birmingham doesn't want it, I might get it from you. I have no need for it, but it would look nice parked next to my RWB 6th gen... and for that price I just don't see passing it up. Let me know if they don't get it.

Well my vfr is on its way to a new home. I never thought i was going to sell it but i needed to let someone else enjoy it. It helped that he was a very nice guy and this will be hisfirst vfr. Hopefully he will take as good of care of it that i and the original owner has. It was a great bike for me and the longest i have owned of all the bikes i have owned. I just hope i dont regret selling it to bad.I know i will when the weather starts to warm up and the trees start to bloom. But i will be out riding my new ktm or similar dirt bike so i dont think i will suffer to bad.
Funny how we can get so attached to a machine sometimes. Anyway i will continue to keep posting on here. And will keep my eye out for something like an original 83 or maybe even a vfr 400 in perfect condition.

Yes i think he is outside of birmingham. He is a very nice guy. Unless of course he was just keeping it together for about an hour and he is a real knuckle dragger rude harley lovin wife beater and he plans to take my pristine vfr back to his harley gangs clubhouseand toture the poor thing.
But i think he is ok.
