Has anyone put mirrors on the front fairing of the first gen? I hate the stock mirrors on the handle bars.
I've notice inside of the fairing there appears to be a reinforcement as if there was/could be fairing mounted mirrors.

Your better off finding some light weight/plastic mirrors on ebay that will work. The stock mirrors are way to heavy to be mounted on the fairing even if you think you have a solid mount. I put a vf1000r fairing on my 83 a couple of years ago. I had solid mirror mounts and tried the stock mirrors. They were ok up to about 60/70mph. Then they would start to wiggle/bounce because of road. They would just multiply the force and shake like hell. Got ebay ones for 600/1000 CBR. Plastic body and mirror with alum stalk. Worked fantastic, better than I thought they would.

Ninja 600 mirrors from the eighties look pretty good and are light enough. I used some rubbers and plates from the 93 900RR mirrors to reinforce on the inside. The angle of the fairing where they mount on the 500 puts the mirror at the right angle. Not sure if the 750 is the same, they could look goofy.

I've got an extra set of mirrors I'll try and mock up on my 1984 750.

They actually look pretty good. The angle is about right.

I'll try and get some shots outside with a little better perspective, distance and backdrop.

Ninja 600 mirrors, 80s era. Emgo makes good quality replicas. Plates from 900RR on the inside for reinforcement. Angle is good. Not quite as good looking as on the 500 fairing in my opinion, they do have slightly different shapes. But overall I am very pleased. Also they seem very solid on the fairing, even more so than my 500.
