so putting on leo vince exhaust, looking at clamps, pictures show rubber should be on inside but it doesn't line up w/ the holes in the band. wrong rubber? clamp seems to be right shape/length for exhaust. rubber go on outside now? doesn't seem likely.

what leo pics show, rubber inside of band.

when i put it on inside it doesn't line up in the hole in band, see overlap red arrows? part where blue arrow is seems fine.

    close up, it's to long.

if i put rubber around the outside it lines up, but that seems retarded, isn't it there to protect the muffler from the band?

so anybody? wtf? am i missing something? do i just say f'it and put inside and tighten down?

What happens when you have the rubber inside, and you close the opening of the clamp as if it were secured. Does the rubber fit better then? Send an email to Leo Vince customer service explaining what you have encountered. Most reputable businesses will get back to you so long as you don't jump down their throats right off the bat. You may not like their answer but you should try and see what gives.

That's not too uncommon when it comes to those on any manufacturer. I've run across it on many different brands.

Had the same issue. Keep in mind the somewhat round clamp isn't formed to the oval muffler. With a muffler off the bike install a clamp & tighten. Remove the clamp without distorting it as best you can. You'll have to open it up a little just don't go crazy, slide it off if possible. Then reinstall the rubber on the clamp & finish assembly. It does take a little massaging to get the rubber material to fit properly on the clamp. I also used a little soapy water help slide the clamp & rubber over the mufflers on final assembly.

the license plate holder is kinda in the way, i might take them back off and cut the top corners off that holder and realign again, i like them tilted in but horizontal they need some leveling still, its 0 F here so more messing w/ it when it warms up some.

Two exact things I dealt with when installing my Leos. The rubber does fit , just take your time , stretch and fit . I remember if you put the rubber upside down it wont work...trust me, you'll figure it oot. With the fender eliminator, I cut down my plate, took off the upper corners (dremal) and put about tree washers between the mount on the bike and the top of the bracket. Mine where real tight , rubbin against the inside of the right pipe, so at first I just grabbed a cork off my wife wine bottle and sliced a good thick piece and slid it in between the license and the pipe...worked but thought it to mickey mousy so just added the washers.Dropped it just enough to stay clear of rubbing
