    Hi guys,

I am due for a few replacements this winter, including chain and sprockets. I'd love to take care of this myself, is it really a hard task with the correct chain tool?

Also, I need recommendations for the chain tool, as well as the sprockets.

    Thanks!

The job look scary but actually very simple. Get yourself a rivet kits from cycle gears cheap and work well.
I got my chain and sprocket with amazon get to my door in two days. If you need step by step instruction I can do that when you ready.

    It's easy.

I used a Motion Pro Chain Tool Kit that I bought from Cycle Gear.

I ordered my chain and sprocket kit from Drive Systems USA because they put the best parts/brands together for you with your choice of DID's latest model chains, and the Superlite sprockets. They were also fast with delivery.

A word about the Chain tool--read the instructions carefully, especially if it's your first time. You need to know each part of the tool because the instructions are short on pictures. You have to push out ONE pin from your existing chain to break it. Then you must use the press plate to attach the new link. Finally, you need to use the rivet pin to rivet the new pins. Riveting the pins must be done carefully.
