I replaced the coolant pipe seals when I had the carbs off my 500 and now the rear cylinder bank has a leak that i'm chasing side to side.
would rather not completely disassemble again.
    Any ideas ?

All I lack is a carb synch and the bike will be finished.

Thank you to Jamie D , Billy C

Only way I know is to remove the carbs again. Or attempt a stop leak but my belief is those things do more damage than good and you'll still have to take it apart again in the long run.

The carbs get easier each time you remove them, honest...

It's very easy to spend 3 times longer to fix something because you don't want to take something apart again and are looking for a work-around. I'm guilty of this now and again. Pull the carbs...it really is the easiest way. You can get a seal cockeyed, it does happen. Use a little grease on it when installing.

That 500 looks so incredibly clean...wish I had it.

I replaced the seals when I had it apart which makes me suspicous of the seals - they were round and not D shaped as the OEM were . Any ideas if they are still available ?

When I replaced the same orings on my 500, I used two round orings in each groove purchased from the hardware store. They were incredibly difficult to get reassembled but I never had a leak afterword. I also replaced the orings in the part that bolts to the head where the crossover tube attaches. Also found at the hardware store. I used a dab of silicone in the corners to keep them in place for assembly.

    Gentleman,
I did manage to replace the seals while carbs were on, tricky but achievable. I did grease them when re installing and no more leaks. Thank you.
