Hi, I just picked up a 06 vfr 800 with 25 miles on it in pearl white. I love bikes, especially Hondas, but this is my first VFR. My Dad had a 1993 VFR 750 in pearl white when I was younger so I've always had a soft spot for VFRs that color.
Welcome aboard. Should that read 25k miles, or have they just pushed it around the showroom for the past 8 years?
No it's actually 25 miles. Some rich guy bought it and stored it in his airplane hangar. He decided to trade it in on a side by side!!! I asked the guy the same thing when I saw the ad.
That really is a scoop then! There may be some issues regarding a wiring harness recall that you might want to check out (others who have your model will be able give you more info) BTW, you might want to speak to someone about that bike addiction, remember the first step is admitting you have a problem :biggrin-new: Ride safe.
:hss: 25 miles woooooooooow :welcome: to the nuts house  Congratulation on your new ride, you just got yourself a world best machine. She will keep you happy for many years to come. Ride safe and ATGATT
Thanks scuby fer bummpin up the text size for us old farts. Shit and I thought I scored when my bike at purchase had 1800. Congrats ..what was the price? Remember ATGATT
Not an issue with the 06. That problem was rectified well before the 06 came out. Man what a score getting a 7 year old bike with only 25 miles on it. Hell, I bought mine still in the crate and it had almost half that when the salesman drive it home to my garage. I didn't have even a learners at the time so couldn't ride it myself. If you don't mind the question, how much? Looks like you still have the original rubber on the bike too. Scrap those immediately if for no other reason, they are old and will be dried out. Therefore dangerous. The OEM Dunlops were shit anyways.
Thanks for all of the replies guys!!!! I got the bike for $5900. I was really lucky. The only bummer is the streets here are super icy right now so I haven't been able to ride it much yet.
Looks like the bastards at the dealership were too cheap to give him a full tank off fuel whsn be initially bought the bike. I woild flush that fuel out and replace with fresh. Is that gas also 7 years old?
Haha they were. I siphoned the old fuel out already and filled it up with some good fuel. I was a motorcycle tech for 10 years so I asked them to just leave it the way it was and I'd handle it. They were happy to do so!!!
Welcome aboard. Super nice find! You live in an awesome riding area(when the weather is nice). I used to live up the road from you in Susanville. I do miss the roads.
