While on a local MC forum, someone from Aerostich had posted a "pop-up" event happening here in So. California. He mentioned that they did NOT have plans to be at the MC show in Long Beach, so if anyone from So Cal is interested in Aerostitch clothing, this might be something to check out. When asked if there were going to be special pricing, he had a vague answer of "We'll have a full range of sizes available of all Aerostich gear to try on and Aerostich factory reps will be ready to assist, answer questions and make recommendations for any alterations if needed to get you a suit, jacket or pants with a more precise, comfortable fit. There will also be some in-store promos available, but you'll have to stop in to see us at 2305 Vista Way, Nov 20-24th to find out what..."

Here's the original text from his post and a link to the event info.

"Come to the first-ever Southern California Aerostich Pop-Up Event! Every riding suit, jacket, and pant -- in all sizes, models and colors -- will be on display to try on and experience. See all the latest gear and equipment, including the all-new Roadcrafter City, Roadcrafter Tactical Suits, Women’s sized Roadcrafters, Utility Riding Pants. See lots of other new stuff including optional custom variations for Roadcrafter’s and Darien’s, too. You’ll meet factory fitting and custom alteration experts, and experience the precise feel and fit of Aerostich’s more than thirty different standard graded sizes. Check out all newest gear -- including boots and gloves -- and be accurately measured for standard sizes, or custom alterations. There’ll be FREE refreshments, FREE prizes and Mr. Subjective, too…so come over and have some fun.
Additional details at aerostich.com/popupsocal Five days only, Wednesday thru Sunday, November 20th-24th, 10am to 8pm daily, at 2305 Vista Way, Oceanside, CA 92054 in the El Camino North shopping area. Make plans!"

Read what they say carefully. Andy Goldfine runs a great shop and has if not the best, most of the best street gear available. Do not think however that you will be able to walk into this gig and walk out with a custom fit garment or to get something fixed like a zipper..

would love to attend that. I was at bridgehampton many moons ago at a race school and the Vanson crew was there, I had a pair of leather pants that I wanted altered down, so I figured what better way to have one of their experienced sewers measure me and make note of the alterations. Easy right? Nope, got those pants back and to say that they were beyond fucked up would be an understatement. I had to take pictures of me wearing them and sent them back via snail mail possibly, this was back in the 90s. They had to replace an entire front panel and charged me some scratch to do it. Think it was $75.00 to do it, bear in mind this is after I had an experienced sticher/racer who shall remain un-named (Rising Sun Cycle) measure me and take notes on the leathers.

I had a two piece "Stich" suit were the velco wore oot on the jacket, I sent it back and they repaired it for a small charge and did an amazing job where you couldnt even know they opened any seams or anything for that matter.

Was in Orlando a recently and didnt have my Syed jacket with me on my visist. I mentioned to Syed that my favorite jacket that he made for me got a little tight in my belly region, he took measurements and told me to mail the jacket back. I did and was blown away by the craftsmanship and bang on fit the way he altered my old jacket. Its like a new friend now! Cheers and safe riding. btw he used to work for vanson :pound:

Would love a ride south but not gonna happen. Been wearing Aerostich for 25 years and believe them to be the best.

yeah, I got the e-mail and considered going. I forwarded it down to Jason and Long. I already have my stich and it's working fine, but I did consider going down to have them explain what all the doodads are for on the damn thing.

Their sizing is not real accurate, I just pick up a set of Darien size 38 calim to be small and the freaking suit fit more like medium or large. I do like their style and all the pockets. Might want to bring them down and have them fix the jacket or pick up another one.
Also want to add the material is (Gore Tex) is hard very uncomfortable.

Jason and I were there, sadly  no discount or sale items offer. The intention for this open house is to allow riders try on all the gears available
so they can fit check their size before purchase and to eliminate wrong size or wrong style. Great concept
I bought a set however the jacket is too big so I am getting one size smaller...............Yes I am a gears whore so bite me :moonie:

BTW if any of you want me to write a review with all the gears I could :ear:

^ if you right (sic) book on all your gear, me will need a translator!

You have to use speel cheker as well as some sort of grammer/diction/etc thing, maybe you can read into the microfone and computer will do it for you?

Would love to hear your thoughts on Areo Long. I think you have a perfect grasp of the Canadian language.

Also would love some feed back on their boots.

Their boots is butt ugly so I did not try them on.
    As for the gears
I like the fit of Darien, the material is 500D Gore Tex
The Datien pant is fit nicely and plenty of rooms for over jean of whatever you prefer :rolleye:
The Jacket is a bit long IMO they claim to be 3/4 length be advise the jacket does not come with the liner those are extra $$$
If you plan to use during winter I suggest to get some heated gears or layer up. It is cold with out layer. I have not test the water proofing since there is no rain in South Cal..........:mad2: :pound: I will post some pictures if you like.

I bought one 11 years ago for an outrageous price and it is still going, every day. They've twice come through with some zipper repairs at no cost. The suit itself should easily go another 10 years. It is one of the most cost effective purchases I've ever made. You can't go wrong on the investment.

had two of them bought new, my second is a one piece, very cost affective and your super visible. Nothing looks better than leathers though imho. Love my Hi-Viz "stich suit." You gota wear it though and get it dirty, otherwise you look like a noobie. They do sell some fake dirt in a spay can to get instant cred

Looked like a good product but I read it makes your suit smell like curry, which would just leave me hungry all the time.

Funny, you know up in jersey they had some of the best curried goat you could dream of. Down here in FL, I get some decent stuff, actually now, I can whip up some good curried veggies and such, no goat though, thats reserved for eating oot. Cheers

I promised I'd do a roadmaster review after I had it a while but I have been slacking. I'll try and type something up soon. It'll probably sound a lot like everyone else's review, though.
