I need some hints. I have a 5th Gen and will be moving my exhaust can higher on the bike. I will need to get the midpipe. I plan to look online first. What size is the pipe? Where may I find a stainless pipe online? I will be trying to locate the part and then try to get it done at a local muffler shop. Any helpful ideas? Thanks.

That last sentence of your post can open this thread to a lot of "interesting" posts!

Anyway, the OD of the header where it will meet the mid-pipe is 2". I think that's what you are looking for correct? Your best bet would be to take the bike and the exhaust can with you and ask the muffler shop to build what you need. That's what I'm planning on doing. I have a 2Bros CF exhaust can but it's the low-mount version and I want to make it a high-mount. 2Bros does not make or carry this model anymore so I have to have it custom made or scour eBay looking for just the mid-pipe.

I took it off the bike before I sold it. It wouldn't fit on my Blackbird so it for sale. I paid 150.00 after having a crapping one made at the muffler shop that cost 75.00. 125.00 is a fair price.

I see that you paid 150, but seriously retail and used are quite different. If it were used at all then the price drops of course. It is a rare pipe, so maybe you will be lucky to sell for that price. However, I dont expect to pay that much. Thanks for the offer.
This way will be much less cost. I have found that my Pipewerx pipe extension almost fits. The connection is just a bit short and I guess the parts at Auto Zone will give me an idea of the placement. I am close to the proper placement now.

I will be placing a hanging bracket at the frame, and using a pipe clamp at the front of the can. It works but I am not finished with the cut and straps. I will have pics as soon as I get the parts. If it works then I will give complete directions for others who want to do so.

What that comment really necessary? I had not had it apart as yet, but thanks for the smart remark. Happy holiday
