    Third owner?
    No pix of damages?
The list of farkles does not add up to 2K
The owner ain't gonna pull the farkles off the bike and get stuck with piecing them out a chunk at a time.

Farkles are worth maybe half of MSRP on a bike

What is the cost estimate on repair to the damage, keeping in mind that matching the red paint is just not possible.

Up to you to look up all you can about sale prices, trade in values, dealer prices ect on this bike.

    +1 to Badbilly.

Seems on the high side. Granted, the ABS does add a fair amount, but still seems high IMO.

I've seen almost identical setups, with no damage, go for 5,500 including all the goodies. I occasionally check these things out cause I'd like to exchange my non-ABS for an ABS one day. Given that you live on the densely populated East Coast, I'd honestly suggest biding your time and finding one that hasn't gone through three owners. Alternatively, follow the advice above and check out the damage carefully yourself. Certainly you could get him down to 6k with everything I'd think, maybe less? Something a lot of people responding might not be factoring in here is the local market there - Newhaven is one of the wealthiest communities on this planet, and sh%t just costs more there.

trying to get another $1000 for the 'extra good' stuff is dumb. I doubt he's gonna spend the time to uninstall all that stuff and reinstall stock parts. $5500 including accessories isn't a bad price, dependent on the extend of the damage. The fact that he doesn't show a picture of the damage makes me think it's worse than he's letting on. If it needs any sort of significant repair to the fairings it's absolutely not worth what he's asking.

When Matasickle drinks a beer, I bet his pinky is up in the air.

He probably has a butler named Chauncy.

His family crest is a monocle.

    The list goes on...

Maybe bikes are higher in those high roller hoods but they have some great garage sales from those bigass garages.

What is hilarious is that the really high rollers have started having yard and garage sales. Even Oprah..and Kim. Kim's momma tried to sell Kim to the Detroit Lions for a weekend gig. They were outbid by Justin Beiber.

So is a monocle like a monoshock? ;)

Good looking bike. 10 years old and only 8k miles. Garage queen. Nice add-ons.

The thing I see when looking at these adds: The age, the # of miles, and the fact that the oil was changed every 3k miles. That means this bike had the oil changed every fourth summer (approx.) since it was new.

Just my observation, and I see a lot of these listed with the same type of info.

    Sorry for the thread hi-jack.

I'll be picking mine up in 10 days. Flying 3k miles and then driving 5 hours to pick it up. 2005 VFR ABS with 18k miles. Paying just a tick more, but it was maintained/garaged/add-ons meet my ridiculous standards. It was like I owned the bike from the start. Every mod is what I would have done (except for the lack of exhaust flow). Searched for this bike for awhile.

Point being, find the bike that speaks to you. You'll be happy you did. Good luck Brother!

So $5,500ish is more of a reasonable price for everything?

NO-keep looking, you can find a pristine (not dropped) with add ons for less. Don't be such a rush to bite, there out there. Took me 6 months to find mine, looked at 11 locally, and every single one was dropped. Unless you have $$$ burnin a hole in yo pocket. JMO

    Long loves to shop.

I'd go look at the bike and see if it seems bad, then have a list of comparable bikes. Discuss the prices with seller. Do NOT fall in love with the bike. There are lots of them that were bought because the buyer thought they were pretty then found out they do not like to ride for whatever reason.

Don't worry, Long will give you some more to look at soon. Searchtempest.com is your friend.

If you really like the one, make an offer that you feel comfortable with and let them think about it.
