Hi from the UK fellow VF lovers. After a 30 year wait, I finally bought the bike I lusted after when I was 16. Here she is in all her glory: Sigh... Just got to pass my bike test now ;-)
Awesome mate, the VF400 was my first bike back in the late eighties. Looks like a great ride. Welcome.
Wow - That is a great looking bike. Take care of her! Please don't use the 400 to learn on. If (when) you drop the bike school loan bike you will understand why.. The current DVLA DVD is worth buying and spending time with, to pass the theory bit of the test. As for the practical bit, just practice, practice and practice - until you can nail that turn in a road... Remember your life-savers, don't dither and you will be fine. Good luck with the motorbike test - let us know how you get on. SkiMad
:hss::hss: she is looking fine mate :scared: :welcome: to the madness glad to have you keep the rubbers side down bud
Did the CBT in August and theory test a few weeks ago. Been learning on a Kwacker 650 with a local school. First part of test is on Wed this week. Fingers crossed...
It happens - Just don't get disheartened see it as a chance to do a bit more practice. It will be fine. SkiMad
Ok, passed the first part of the bike test with no issues. Just the road ride to do now with the examiner. Getting closer to riding that VF400.....
OK...lots more news...passed my test in early December...woo-hoo!!!!! I've been out on the VF400 about every other day in the last month or so, including a solo 100 mile round trip last week. The first real jaunt was with my good mate Col on his Aprillia Mille to our local bikers pub 'The Tap' The bike is very well behaved, thankfully. Not much to complain about apart from not much to see in the mirrors without *really* pulling my elbows in. I also bought a 1984 VF500F2. Yes, the one with the full fairing Looks like I got the VF bug bad...
