Well if you are speaking grammatically, I believe fastest was correct since there are more than 2 colors. If you were speaking of the accuracy of the statement, I'm going to have to go with wrong on both counts. I think I have video of my midnight blue VFR passing both yellow and red VFRs in the sweepers at R3 last year...and the year before...

Thanks, gents (and ladies?)! I happen to love the look of the red but I'm considering doing a wrap in white (matte, maybe) over the winter. That or bubblegum pink (wicked cool in its own way, and a great theft deterrent for my shitty neighborhood.

Anyway, mods that came with this bike are as follows: Corbin seat, PCII, Two Brothers high-mount carbon fiber exhaust, Ram mount, throttle lock, Zero Gravity screen, HID headlights, high intensity brake light, and blue illumination on the dials. It's also got a few sprocket mods (down a couple in the back, up a couple in the front).

The seller was nice enough to include the stock seat, that Fieldsheer tank bag (pictured above), a Nelson Rigg cover, the rear seat cowl, and some oil.

Currently I am working on my 4th generation VFR, and though I think the 4th gen is my favorite I do love my 5th gen almost as much. All you have to do is turn the key, thumb the start switch, listen to the somewhat lumpy and burbling idle, then rev the motor and listen in awe as the engine reaches a crescendo of basey accompaniment.

Next climb aboard and drop yourself on to the somewhat firm yet mildly comfortable seat (we are talking the stock seat here), flick up the side stand, blip the throttle just to hear the engine race again, and snick the transmission in to 1st gear. Pick up the engine speed and slowly release the clutch and slip away form the side of the road and off in to the great unknown. Could be a ride to the store, maybe off to work, or perhaps a day or week long adventure on the open road, with nothing but the sound of your bike, and your thoughts to keep you company.

Feel the pull of the engine as you crack open the throttle, the consistent and ever increasing flow of torque that seemlessly continues as you shift your foot forward to grab the next gear. Listen to the aural pleasure of the exhaust note as the engine revs on toward the upper end of the rev range. It starts with a low and unassuming burble, extends to a low growl as the tach swings past 4000 rom, continues to a basey thrum as you swing past 6000, up and up, increasing to a shrieking, deep toned guttural snarl as you swing toward redline......... Another quick shift and once again the noise repeats.....................

When you reach your destination you sit atop your mighty steed, listening to the sound of the engine as it slowly calms from the shrieking growl of a jungle cat in full chase to the gentle burble of a purring kitten. You thumb the off switch and the engine dies, signifying the end of this journey. As you drop the side stand and gently lean the bike on its perch you remove your helmet and think quietly, reflecting on the experience of THE RIDE. As you dismount your steed you are torn, the urge to get back on and take off again, ......another quick spin?

You stand back, your gear in a neat pile on the ground beside you, your helmet in your hand, gazing at the flowing lines of your bike, seemlessly transitioning from the street to the machine and back to the street. You long for the opportunity to ride once again. Until then MY SWEET, ............ Soon,...........again, we shall ride off in to the vast asphaltic expanse,....................nothing between my thoughts, my self and my VFR..............
