tail mods

    20130925_065032.jpg So I wana replace the whole back end of my bike with something more sporty that gives me a bigger gap between my rear tire and seat how can I do it the easiest way and will 8 have to replace alota others with that as well ??

    There is no "easy" way to modify the tail. The electrical components will have to be moved to the front of the bike and you also would need to fabricate an exhaust. There have been 6th gen tails put on a 5th gen, but it isn't for the faint of heart.

    Couldn't agree more with that comment! When I had a ZX12R I asked my mechanic how I improve the tank range. He said "buy a Vstrom".

    I was able to do it, but it took a lot of work. I had to take the bottom two rails of the subframe and flip them upside down, then rejoin them to the top two rails. Relocate the rectifier under the battery... made a custom battery box and undertail tray... the computer barely fits under the seat. Here's a link to the rest of the pics:
