Hi! I'm looking for a trustworthy Honda OEM parts dealer that ships parts to Europe. The order I'd like to place is quite big (it's worth nearly $2k). Because of the distance US - Europe (and size of the parts list) I'd really wish that the order won't be messed up. Sending the parts back and then waiting for the next shipment would be a nightmare...

I have tried with hondaparts-direct.com and mrcycles.com, but sadly nothing came out of it. I've waited days to get e-mails responses and now I didn't hear from them for weeks, despite of polite reminders. It's so much worse than if they simply write back that they give up me. I realize that it's easier to ship parts withing the borders of US only. In hondaparts-direct.com they generally don't ship outside the continental US, but they've replied me it's possible and it was very kind of them. mrcycle.com stated to send to Europe, so they should care. Also, I don't believe I did a bad thing being scrupulous, I think it's natural, isn't it? I've unfortunately missed half of the season because all of that...

So, enough of whining. Can you please recommend me a parts dealer you can rely on? Many thanks.

Good luck with your search, but I should perhaps warn you to think carefully about EU and local import taxes if you decide to purchase parts from the USA.

OK You may find prices in the USA for the items you need are lower, but you also need to factor in shipping costs and the likelihood that when the goods arrive in the EU then the taxman will expect you to pay VAT (23% in Poland?) and possibly any national import duties before they allow them to enter the country.

On such a large order, the chances are high, that the import will be spotted by the tax authorities, so you need to do your sums or you could be worse off than simply buying them in Poland. I take it you have already got comparable prices for the parts from Poland and elsewhere in the EU, like David Silver Spares in the UK. I guess if the parts are specifically for a US spec model then you may have no option, to go this route, but if not I would spend time researching possible sources inside the EU first?

    Take care

Thank you for your advice. I've already checked out all the tax duties and called the import office and asked about import taxes. Even with the shipping costs and taxes included importing parts from US is still much cheaper that buying them in EU... But I'll definitely check the prices again if somebody recommends a dealer originated in Europe.

I have an European (French) version of VFR1200F (2010) and because of that I want to carefully pick a dealer that could advice me on the parts and check if they'll fit my bike.
