Hi, I'm trying to remove my lower cowl right fairing. The bolts are obvious to remove but the trim plugs, I have no clue how to remove. I did a search but the clips I have on my 2002 VFR have no middle at all. So there's nothing to push with a screw driver for the clip to widen. I tried to use pliers and pull but if I force, I'm afraid of cracking the fairing or damaging it since I use it as a stopper to pull the clip.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

Have you try use the flat screw driver to pick from under the head?
There should be two more on the inside along the edge of the fairing. Hope this help :thumb:

If its the ones I'm think they are, then there is a center core that expands the clips into place. It fits flush with the top of the clip, but if you look close you should be able to see the outer rim of the clip on top. From memory you have slip a small flat screwdriver under the rim to pop the core out.

The only other fairing types that Honda can use are the ones the you pull to pop it.

You may have to force the little plastic fastener's, you may break them, but they don't cost too much$4 retail, you won't break the fairing. I don't see how you can take off the fairing without breaking these little plastic screws.:black_eyed::alien:

    Here are the pics

As you can see, there are no middle lines thingies or pugs.. Nothing to push in. Are those the kind I have to pull extra hard to get it out?

The VFR is not a Dainty Lady. She likes it rough. Just cut 'em off or rip 'em out!
