I recently picked up a used 2002 VFR with ABS. From everything I have read, it sounds like it should be clicking when I turn the knob. Mine does not click, simply turns with a decent amount of force. I'm thinking it should be clicking and maybe a bit easier to turn. Any experiience with this remote preload would be appreciated. Thanks

Yup mine did that when I bought it so I pulled it apart and it was all gummed up. A good cleaning and some fresh grease fixed her up good.

Am I suppose to feel it click as I turn the knob? I read somewhere that you can count clicks as you are adjusting. My currently does not "click" as I turn it.

I wouldn't worry too much about not feeling the "clicking". My '08 clicks sometimes, other times it doesn't. To give you some reference, one click equals one complete revolution of the knob. You could always mark the knob with a dab of nail polish, then count revolutions that way. If you do decide to remove the knob to free the bearing, be careful that you don't loose the spring and ball bearing.
