Worth the deal................ or junk? I'd appreciate inputs. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/HOND...3QQihZ008QQcategoryZ35592QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem thanks
You replace pads so infrequently in normal street riding, why not spend fair money for a proven product like EBC or OEM pads. No name brand is given here. If the seller is making money at the prices listed, I'd be taking five steps in another direction. Not to mention your time invested putting them on and replacing them if they suck. I'd be looking at internet prices on good parts with a good supplier like Competition Accessories, Solo Moto Parts, etc. Just my opinion - but that's what you asked for.
I was reading the forum on this web site a few month ago and they where talking about brake pads. There where several that complained about non stock pad fading in the rain and they put the stock pads on after a 1000 miles or so. Here is the link to the web site. http://www.bikersoracle.com/vfr/forum/index.php? Also if you check you will find the front pads are differant part numbers.
Honda parts When I need stock parts I use MR Honda. Here is the web site http://www.mrcycles.com/ I've always had good service.
lot of good stuff already said here I would just add, sort of along with what Vlad said, that in this listing, they seem to actually go out of there way, to not give the brand name. There are several places in the copy, where a normal person would have put it in, and yet it isn't there. Could be reading too much into it, but I would say that is a BIG flashing red light on the listing. Saying, I am not going to tell you, because if I did, it would turn you away....
Hell yeah!! I am scraping up the cash to install Galfer SS lines and brake pads on my 2k VFR. EBC is good and gets a good bite when braking.
I am very picky, I want a pad material that will provide good stopping power in a variety of conditions, without putting excessive wear on the discs. I wouldn't buy any brake pads unless I know exactly what I am getting.
