Does anyone have a first gen. interceptor with stock mufflers and a K&N air filter? Does it make a difference in power?

Its fine to ask questions. C'mon TNRGranny (hehehe), lighten up. He did ask specifically about a first gen, versus a generic question of K&N vs. stock.

But yes, you can use the search function jujibean.

You are all dickweeds. But I have some Agent Orange to take care of that.

I have put a K&N on my 6th gen long ago. I can't say I "noticed" any difference in performance. Some insist there is so I won't argue that point. I still use the K&N, but once the fluids run out, I am going back to OEM. What I don't like about the K&N is that after you start cleaning it, your bike is out of commission for far too long while you wait for things to dry. An OEM, you just pop that puppy in and way you go. There may be better than OEM out there that are paper. Maybe someone who is not a dickweed will chime in.

Soon as there is a vaccine for being and asshole, I hope the pharmacutical companies come up with a vaccine for dickweed. Then we can all play in the sand box together so long as you keep your hands to yourself.

I appreciate the great info, I know with newer bikes there is a H.P gain. I just wasnt sure about the older bikes. You dont gain any knowledge if you dont ask questions! I hope this is going to be a mild winter? You take care, Thanks!!

I have had a K&N on my 83 since 84, but can't remember if it made any difference, just everybody had them at the time.
