Are the Forks Painted on 5th gen?

    I have a little crud build-up on my front forks and rear arm. Are thay painted silver? I want to Use something to polish/clean them up but don't want to remove paint if they are in fact painted.

    Yes, they're painted. However, you might find that they've effectively been sand/rock blasted anyway.

    yeah, it doesn't take long. Mine has a mere 90000 miles and I already had to paint them again. Well my roomate painted them while I was out of town. He used spray paint and didn't take off the wheel, but he did a decent job. :)
