    Very nice.

Delkevic seems like a solid option at a good price for the VFRs.

Sound from phone may not be perfect but the bike sounds really good and the pipe sure looks good from what we can see of it. Perhaps a picture from the side so we can see what the profile shot of the exhaust looks like.

I added a Delkevic 18" slip-on to my 2000 VFR a couple years ago and have never had any complaints. Of course, now I feel I must complain. Your bike sounds better than mine. LOL

It's nice to know that I'm not the only one who likes the sound of my bike with the new pipe. :)

For two reasons, I've put the baffle back in:

    1) I don't want a date with the EPA noise testing facility
    2) The idle was a bit rough, so the air:fuel mixture was probably off a bit, and I don't have a Power Commander to fix it.

That being said, I love the sound without the baffle!

    New update:

I put in a Rick's RR and a VFRness, and the idle instability disappeared (as did the flickering of the lights I'd been getting). Perhaps I actually didn't have enough current capacity to keep the injectors and coils going properly...

Anyway, I've taken the baffle back out, and the idle is all good. This has restored my faith in Delkevic's claim that there's no need to re-tune after installing the pipe. :)

Exhaust looks great! Thinking about getting the exact one, just can't decide if I want to try a high mount.

Low mount works with the low mount Ventura rack. There's no guarantee of the same with a high mount exhaust. If you ever use panniers or saddle bags, you'll need a low mount version.

I went with the low mount to keep my luggage options open. It's also small enough to mean that you're unlikely to ground it out (unless your arse's on the deck, in which case, the exhaust is the least of your concerns).

If luggage isn't an issue for you, then it's just a matter of aesthetics. Good luck with whichever you choose, and don't forget to post some photos. :)

I have the 14" oval stainless with the high mount AND saddle bags. It fits between my GIVI Wingrack2 and the rear tire with a little room to spare. Here is a photo from the rear with the bags on and the highmount.

And the highmount from the side view, with saddle bags.

By the way, I love the sound, baffle or not. Can't be beat for the price.

Your gonna love the sound of your bike with that Delkevic. Think you already have an aftermarket pipe on your bike though don't you 1stVFR? Sound difference might not be huge but the can is sure smaller.

How's the rear shock holdin up by the way?? Hello from the sunny Okanagan by the way.

The shock is holding up great!

Mine has a Vance and Hines slip on now which sounds fantastic. I just like the looks of the high mount and for the price was thinking of trying this one out. The tri-oval looks nice.

Any chance you have a side pic of the 14" high mount w/o the luggage installed? I'm wanting to see where the 14" can ends. Have a Erion low mount on now and it sticks out further than the end of the bike. Drives me crazy.

    Sweet looking bike, Skifreak.

I believe that the link pipes are common for all of the different slip-ons, so the longer ones will protrude past the back of the bike (unless what I read wasn't correct). The 14" oval and 13" tri-oval are at about the sweet spot for aesthetics.
