I'm not sure if this is the right place to put this up, but I didn't see a "Classified" forum. Here's the situation. I had to come up with some cash PDQ, and my 2000 interceptor was the answer. So, I sold my beautiful yellow Y2K VFR800 to a motorcycle police officer. He rides a harley professionally, but his bike for personal enjoyment is a now a VFR. That should tell you something.

Anyway, he couldn't afford the price for the full meal deal, so he instead bought my bike in the stock configuration- still plenty nice. He's since emailed me thanking me for selling him such a nice bike (only had 17K miles on it and was immaculate).

What that means is I have some very nice, not so common, Mike Corbin accessories that I am going to offer up to you guys. Specifically, what I have is a beautiful Corbin gunfighter seat (has the carbin fiber looking seat cover) in perfect shape. Attached to it is the glovebox tail piece. Additionally, I have the matching Corbin beetle bags. You know the ones I'm talking about ($1,700 new). Finally, I have a nice clear touring windscreen, with a whale-tail upper trailing edge to better deflect the wind at freeway speeds. It's in perfect condition.

The two hard bags has some small scratches on the outermost edges of the bags, pretty insignificant really (I have pictures). It's nothing serious and could be easily touched up with a little paint. The lip on the glovebox has a couple of scatches and a gelcoat chip in it. The lids are all beautiful. There is no structural damage to anything. I'f I were going to keep them, just a little Bondo repair would bring everything back to original. Then a do-it-yourself touch-up paint job or a full professional repaint... your choice. If your VFR is red you're going to repaint them anyway, so it's a no brainer.

I'm not looking to make a killing on these fine accessories. I'm asking for $750 OBO for everything. You pay the shipping costs.

If anyone is interested, let me know. I'm located in NW Washington state. I'm going to try to post some pictures. If I'm unsuccessful, just email me and I'll send you some. I have a bunch including close-ups of the scratches.

And yes, I am sad about selling my bike. I had my three bikes up for sale at the same time. The VFR went first. So, I still have my 1997 Harley/Buell Lightning S1 and my 1998 CBR1100XX Super Blackbird. Love my Blackbird, but the VFR was better in the tight twisties.

I noticed an earlier post where someone asked the question which is better, the Blackbird or the Interceptor for sport touring? I'm 6' even and 210 lbs. Both my CBR and my VFR have Corbin seats. I think that makes a tremendous difference in the distance (fatigue) comfort side of things. My CBR also has VFR handlebars, so I sit a little more upright and that helps a lot too. All in all I'd say they're dead even. I'd give the nod to the VFR when it's time to carve things up, but for higher speed rallies and especially sweepers I'd have to say the CBR is my choice. Ideally, I'd own them both... Hopefully I will again.

Nice offer. Classified section is on the top banner, third from left. You may have better luck posting it up there. Who knows?
