Thanks for all the welcomes to another new guy on the forum. I have only had mine a few weeks and I am already planning to buy a second bike next spring. Anyway I have a question, I see some of these bikes marked as V45 and some like mine marked VF750. I am aware that the V45 is a 750 in the magna and sabre bikes. What was the difference between these two VF bikes is it just the decals or are there actual differences in the bikes. Mine is a 1984 Canadian bike.

    Thanks

Just the name is all that is different for the most part. There are minor differences between 83-84 models. Things like some electrical components/wiring, carb jetting, 83 has longer forks that's why they have a spacer ring under handle bars, some switches have a physical looking difference. Still work the same.

They are the same bike though.

The V45 Interceptor was in the USA. All else was the VF750F and since your is Canadian that explains the VF750. Enjoy! Great bike. I've had a few.

The 45 in V45 is the displacement in cubic inches. The V was for vicious.
