I have an opportunity to pick up some givi hardbags and brackets for my 4th gen vfr. I may have overlooked the fact that i have a Remus highmount exhaust that came with the bike ( awesome sound ) I am pretty sure i am out of luck but i thought I would check on this forum first. Will the bags fit on my bike. The other option is to swap out the regular exhaust with my remus. A used bike shop has some gen 4 bikes and I am sure he would swap out the pipes seeing as he is getting a better more expensive pipe. Would you go for the great sound showing off the single sided swingarm or would you gravitate to the sensible and take the storage capability.I have two other bikes both with hard bags ....a 2004 BMW r1150r and a 2006 Vulcan 900 ( actually leather bags ). Problem is these bikes are not a VFR and if i went on a really long trip I would be inclined to take the VFR. Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

Depending on the mounting kit - tubular vs wingrack - you can add spacers to accommodate the hard luggage. There are several 5th & 6th gen bikes on VFRD that have done this.

    +1 to what he said.

Shouldn't be too hard the way both mounting styles are designed even if they didn't already fit with the pipe.
