Well the reason for my title is because I nicknamed my vfr the captain. Anyways my name is james. I had a 98 vfr800 nut in june I was in an accident and the beauty was totalled. A month or so after I bought my new vfr. Being that I dislocated my left knee when I was hit on my bike I'm still recovering from my full knee reconstructive surgery. I've been very bored with the extra time so I have been working on my bike.

Now I suppose I'll talk about my bike. The captain had a sargeant seat, alarm system, gel grips, and gear indicator. Now the things I did. Double bubble windshield, heated grips, hid lows, led highs, white led front blinkers, red rear blinkers, fender eliminator, delkevic headers, leo vince duals, heat element in seat, speedohealer, -1/+2 gearing, pair and flapper mod, o2 sensor disconnected, factor top case, saddle bags, k & n filter, power commander v, racetech springs, racetech gold fork valves, lets not forget the amazing white wheels and 8 spoke. I also did a ohlins rear with height adjustment, dampening adjustment, and compression adjustment. I'm still doing physical therapy and I can't sit on the bike yet or ride which really sucks but after 2 months of working on it, it is done. I still have the hel stainless lines to install and I will probably get a steering dampener. I loved my 98 but this 07 with 1993 miles is amazing. I'm a very very proud owner. Check out a few pictures and give me some feedback.

Sweet. An RWB with less that 2K on it. Looks like you put a little cash behind that bike. Be careful with it when you get back on. What the hell did the PO do with that bike, wash and wax it. I mean he/she obviously did not ride much.

That is an interesting paint scheme on the hard bags. Did you do that or was it like that when you bought it?

BTW. Welcome to the site. We usually have to get all over nooby's to post up pix but you kinda blew that away.

Yea I'm used to being on forums. I'm usually on zgempire.com though. I've never done an intro on here so I thought I would. Yea I put money into it. I got the bags custom painted. He bought the bike brand new in 2010. Stored it most the time.

Welcome to The World! Very nice upgrades, particularly the white wheels, more specifically the 8 spoke. Bummer about your '98 and knee, but we all know the risk we take for that extra bit of return we get from riding. Hope you heal up soon and get in a least a few miles before fall/winter starts moving in.

    Cheers!

Oh yeah, I like the name 'Captain', it's fitting!

No I'm 21 hah. Before my accident I was set up to pick up my 2013 Daytona 675r. I had full coverage on the 98. They covered all my gear which added up to about 900 bucks but I was able to find it all at top dollar and got the full 3gs in accessories.
