hi all im back on honda again at last i have a 2010 dct model,having read up about hondas 2012 dct model it says its been improved with different software.my question is can a honda dealer put the new software on my bike or doesnt it work like that thank you
I wish it did, the way I understand it is that the earlier 2010's had more software glitches shall we say, and it was improved on sometime later in 2010. Your dealer can tell you if you have the current program. All it does is smooth things out some in the first 2 gears. Sounds like it's quite frustrating if you had that problem. There has been some talk of ECU Unleashed, a company that can remove the restrictions in those gears, as well as improve on things. Don't think anyone has done it yet, I might give it a go this winter. Welcome to the forum, hope you were able to get rid of that awful sherif.
