Popping sound from air box - edited - solved!

So... I reported earlier about this strange popping sound coming from the air box.
After posting about it and searching the forum for answers, i came across the "depairing and deflaping" and the "snorkel" mods which suggested that the problem might be the PAIR sensor.
so I went a head and did all three of them.
Not only did it do away with the pop, it transformed the way the bike runs completely! So much smoother throttle response traveling at low speeds in first and second gears, none of that jerkiness it had before, sounds even better (stock cans) and last but not least - no poping!

    Ya'll are the greatest!
    So much appreciated.

On the top of the airbox you will see a diaphragm if you will with a vacum hose attached to it...this is known as the flapper valve. Unplug it and plug your vacum hose off, see if that does away with the annoying sound that you are hearing.

    thnx for the replay bro.
i'm at work right now, and don't have the necessary tools to do the flapper valve mode.
i did however, do the PAIR sensor mod (disconnected it), which i understood from another thread, is responsible for that popping sound.
i tried getting the engine to warm up to around 95 degrees (celcius), where the noise usually appears, but since i did it a stand still, it wouldn't go over 70ish. i'll ride it back home and keep you posted.
i am, however, thinking of doing the flapper valve mod anyhow, as i understand that doing this mod, along with the PAIR and snorkel mods, does the bike good.
i'll re-post as soon as i get it done.

thnx again for the replay, much appreciated.
    elad.
