Turn signals failed today. 2007 RW&B VFR 800A. 10 amp fuse in right fuse was blown. Replaced it, and it also failed and blew. Any one else have this problem? Any suggestions on the next steps? Look for chaffed wire? What else could it be?

Check the wire that goes to the front brake lever. Happened to me. It gets loose. Crimp it a little tighter & you are good to go. Good luck.

Good idea above. If that doesn't work unplug all 4 signal wires, then find out which one is grounded and causing the problem by plugging them in one at a time.

Well I don't know what did it, but I unplugged everything, put in a new fuse and plugged each item one at a time. Each time I pulled all levers, pushed buttons and cycled the bars back and forth. It did not blow the third time. Took it for a test ride, still could not get it to blow. All wires and connected seemed pristine.
Gonna chalk it up to shit happens just to mess you up sometimes.

You have obviously disturbed a wire that was grounding out, but don't worry it will get you again one dark rainy night

It blew another fuse today. Does anyone have a schematic for the 25th anniversary bike. My friend says to get it and bring it to them he'll help me check it out. The Honda book I have printed in 2002 for 6th generation he says is outdated. Can you scan it?

    Is this what you want?

Otherwise go to the "Specifications" forum and you should find a link with the whole vtec manual.

I will try that. Mine is the ABS version, but it is unlikely the turn signals differ.

I downloaded the 2006 to 2006 manual from there. I will just tell my friend that there should be no change in turn signal circuits from 2006- to 2007.

Found it! That Connector in the center of the dashboard the wire bundle on it was rubbing on a sharp bracket to the right, in front of the connector. Taped it up and it works like a champ. The is why it was intermittent, mainly shorted out going over bumps.
