My apologies if you guys already knew this, but the HONDA VFR Factory Service Manual I have has a glaring typo in it...

I never noticed it before today, but on page 14-2 (Rear Wheel/Suspension Section) it lists the torque for the Bearing Holder Pnch Bolt as 74 Nm (25 lb-ft).

This is totally incorrect... The Bearing Pinch Bolt Torque is 54 ft-lbs as it says on page 14-0....

Just want to make sure no one makes a mistake and under-torques their rear bearing pinch bolt.

They might have updated subsequent printings of the manual, but check it to be sure.

The VFR got a fresh batch of Mobil 1 Racing 4T in her belly today (as well as a filter)... Too bad it's raining and the temp is gonna drop into the teens or single digits this week. !! :frown:

    Best Regards,

    -Stephan

Just to contradict what you say the owners manual. As in the one that came with the bike says 74NM

I done have a service manual ready but near the front there will be a list of torques for bolt sizes.
