Hey troops, Saw these cool looking stainless exhasut tips on eBay. Looks like you get one certain length (unless you want certain lengths cut), but this is what I thought Honda should have done, as the stock mufflers look like they are missing something at the end. I'm going to buy a set for my '04, but sure don't need 9" long tips. I will be cutting mine down thinking all four tips at four inches long would be bad a$$?? What do you think - Cool, or too funky for fishing???

I agree with Scubalong, shorter would look better. But that's my opinion, which mostly isn't worth 2 cents,

Ok, I'll risk saying it... Sometimes I think you can just add too much chrome to a bike...

    my opinion- means nothing.

I'm not going to lie, those long tips are hidious.

I used the OEM can and opened up the tips and cut the can 4-5" shorter and enjoyed the look.

beastboiy, I don't have the tips - if you read the initial post, it says they are listed on eBay (I think they are still on there). I do know it says there is no change to the stock exhaust sound, so a sound clip would do nothing other than sound "stock".

Noob, It just goes to show it takes all kinds. You like short "mini-cans" and I personally like the tips. OK - maybe the ones in the pics are too l;ong for some folks, but that can easily be changed to any length as the eBay listing says. Let's RIDE!

IMHO, the 6th Gen is extraordinarily tail-heavy. With the stock exhaust, it looks a bit like a pregnant wasp. A longer after-market exhaust accentuates the tail-heaviness. The chrome only draws attention to the bulk of the tail assembly.

Shorter is better. Shorter carbon is best.
