Newb introduces himself

Hello fellow VFR owners/enthusiasts.

My name is Roger and I am the proud owner of a 1995 Honda VFR.
Purchased used in 2000 and have loved it ever since.

As a child, I rode minibikes, dirtbikes, etc, and then took up riding "seriously" in approx the mid 90's.
Owned numerous CBR's, and a ZX-10.

Occasionally, I will consider a new bike, but always seem to come back to the VFR;
the combination of relatively small size/weight, coupled with its ability to be a
8/10's sportbike and 8/10's touring bike seems to make it the ideal bike for a person
that only desires to own one bike. Given that I am 5'7" and only 150lbs, this also is an issue
when considering a taller/heavier bike such as the new VFR, a Concours or an FJR.

My 1995 Viffer has the following mods:
Givi taller screen
Throttlemeister
Jastek Powerlet
Givi Wingrack 2 and Givi side and top bags
Corbin Gunfighter seat
Wider, upgraded tires
Tank bra, tank bag
Mechanically stock (it is difficult to improve upon perfection)

Welcome and just enjoy the ride. It does get bumpy at times but this is the place to came with questions about the VFRs. There are some very knowledgeable people on here. :wink:

 

Welcome. I must know everything cause my wife always say "Oh! You know everything!" Love Calgary. Wished I could talk the wife into moving there but she doesn't do winters well. BTW. Took you long enough to find us her at the World
