well all the wires from the r/r seemed to be just fine, including the plugs and such. its throwing a code 11 which is speed sensor so i replaced it and still throwing the code after clearing the codes. i think i need to now check every single wire on this bike although every wire/plug i have seen so far have been fine. voltage from the battery reads around 14 volts but does not fluctuate when i rev it up to 5k.. I'm not the best at this stuff.. but I'm thinking now maybe it is the stator.

Dude - we've been trying to help you here but you aren't giving much back. Pardon my sarcasm, but do you have unlimited funds to just keep throwing sensors on this bike? Unless this bike was sitting in salt water, there is no effen way all those sensors are going bad. With your latest failure of the speed sensor, note in my previous post that was also one of the codes I received. You've gotten EVERY code that I had when my R/R failed, and not ONE of my sensors needed to be replaced.

I understand you changed your R/R, but you haven't given us any details on that replacement.

Was it a new or used unit?
Where did you get it from?
    Is it the MOSFET type?
Your voltage is at 14 - when the bike is off? At idle? That could be a tad too high at idle, IMO, and hints that either your R/R or stator are not doing their job.
Have you reviewed this thread below, and specifically done what's outlined in post #9 by Mello Dude?
    http://vfrworld.com/forums/5th-gene...how-fix-common-regulator-stator-failures.html

Although its encouraging that your wires from the R/R are not burned, it doesn't mean your R/R or stator are working properly.

Where are you located at anyway? Maybe one of our members is close by and can give you a hand. I'd certainly be willing to do that if you're anywhere near me.

If you want a hand, I'm more than willing to lend whatever knowledge I have. I'm not good with electrical either, but I can get by, and I've learned plenty from other members on this board over the years.

Do all the testing on your Stator and R/R as outlined in "The Drill" which I linked for you in a previous post. Once you have the results from that, we can figure out what's next.

I also have a riding buddy down in Edison that's taken his VFR apart more times than I can remember, so he knows them pretty well. I'm sure he'd be willing to help out as well.

I went back to stock exhaust, went for a solid ride tonight and no FI codes… I can only laugh. What would you guys recommend as for a good aftermarket pipe without having to remap? Thanks

Exhaust should have nothing to do with this issue. Have you checked grounds? Has the battery been load tested?
