Hi can any say what the regulator rectifier does exacltly on my honda 750 vfr, FM as the fuel pump gets hots and fuel ignition fuse keeps blowing, thanks
The regulator/rectifier (R/R) regulates the electrical flow to the battery, and rectifies excess voltage (in the form of heat). Completely unrelated to your fuel pump/fuse issue, unless the R/R is shot and the battery is shedding excess electricity to your fuel pump (never heard of this happening). R/R failures typically show up as a hot bike that will not re-start (battery drained) or a boiling, over-voltaged battery.
I am far from an electricain, but this makes sense to me, neither of these things are going on, thankyou for the informative info, Steve
