Honda 750 vfr FM

    Hi

    can any say what the regulator rectifier does exacltly on my honda 750 vfr, FM as the fuel pump gets hots and fuel ignition fuse keeps blowing, thanks

    The regulator/rectifier (R/R) regulates the electrical flow to the battery, and rectifies excess voltage (in the form of heat).

    Completely unrelated to your fuel pump/fuse issue, unless the R/R is shot and the battery is shedding excess electricity to your fuel pump (never heard of this happening). R/R failures typically show up as a hot bike that will not re-start (battery drained) or a boiling, over-voltaged battery.

    I am far from an electricain, but this makes sense to me, neither of these things are going on,

    bad fuel pump or dirty contacts/wiring going to it.
