I put a pic up in the introduction section but here it is again

Now its pretty mint and has a full up to date honda service history. Anything its needed it has had with no expense spared which is lovely.

    I have a few questions though:biggrin:

Air filters : does a K&N make any difference whatsoever in noise or performance, also does taking the airbox snorkel off make it sound any better without losing performance

Fuel: I haven't used it that much yet but I am on about 100 and it hasn't gone to reserve yet but the gauge is nearly in the red , does this sound about right????

chassis, , I am 6'4" tall so is there an easy way of raising the rear a bit.

Brakes: its still on standard brake lines that look like new and brakes work well, do braided hoses improve things much.

Exhaust; it has a delklevic system on with a Motad silencer and its just way too quite. i like my bikes to be reasonably loud so are there any good exhausts or pipes from other models that fit .

Sorry i know its a lot of questions but I appreciate the feedback

do a K&N, don't fiddle with the snorkel on this model. Does your bike have those PAR tubes above the headers? If it does, (US models have them.) I cut that entire system out of the air box and welded the tubes up. Fuel mixture screws are turned oot on my bike 2.5 turns, I have the needles shimmed .002 also, other than that, stock jetting.

There is a guy out of LOHR Germany on Ebay that sells a rear ride height adjuster, I have a Fox shock and Race Tech Gold Valves on mine, no ride height but I do have the front forks dropped a few millimeters, maybe 12?

Ditch them lousy old lines and get some Goodridge or Galfer, you wont be sorry.

You dont wana run out of petrol mate, 100 miles you should have another 15 to 20 odd miles before you get dangerrously close to pushing it. My light goes on at around 100 miles or so, I think the tank holds maybe 4.2 gallons? I use ethanol free gas btw, but you have better grade petrol most likely.

Nice bike and welcome to the forum!

I am ok with fuel as mine has the reserve but no light. Just wanted to know
how far to expect a tank full to last. The bike came with a set of goodridge
hoses so I will fit theme anyway. I don't have any valves on the airbox so I will try a k n filter. Might raise the needle a bit too , thanks,

Can't rely much upon Honda fuel gauges as they're grossly non-linear in the readouts. Usually shows more fuel than you have until it gets to lower range.

In my 3rd Gern, I get normally 300 kms (200 miles) before I have to swich to reserve. I have driven about 50 miles with reserve, and still tank was not empty, but did not dare more before refueling.

There are few discussions about the MPGs but the way you are driving and the speed affect a lot, so there is no average there.
