I have had my 04 VFR since Friday. And I am loving it. 5 years ago I sold an 04 Classic(Harley). I did not want another Harley. A couple of friends ride sport bikes and I wanted to try it. Glad I did.
My name is bigJ and I ride a Vfr.

Congrats on the great new addition to your family! The Gen 6 is gonna treat you so nicely!

Throw up some pics when you can, but no need to rush - I'm sure you'd rather be riding!

Paint is looking a bit faded, maybe I could offer to polish it for you to bring that sheen back. LOL. Nice looking bike Big J and though I doubt I would have to guess, I hope you enjoy your VFR as much as I enjoy mine.

CONGRATS!!! the VFR is simply the best commercial exercise of engineering in two wheels, only surpassed by the NR.
Really a Pour Sang for everyone.

Ride, twist, tour, circuit, go to job,... go to track... go to mountains with a backpack... Good for all @ relatively few bucks.

Any slip on pipe recommendations? I don't want obnoxious Harley noises coming from my bike. I want something that when I roll the throttle it sounds like sweet...

What about bags? I want to install some. Hard ? Soft? Helpful hints would be appreciated.

    Taller handlebars too?

I had Cortech soft saddle bags as well as the trunk bag. I have since bought, painted and installed a set or OEM hard bags. I like the hard bags better but have to say, those Cortech saddle bags served me extremely well for a number of years and for a few very long and extended trips. I like the ability to lock the OEM. They do carry more stuff than the Cortech. And they are easier to get on and off. I gave the saddle bags away. They were still in very good shape regardless of the use I got out of them. I still have the trunk bags. I am considering a hard trunk case but haven't made the plunge just yet.

BTW. Welcome to the world of guys who spout outrageous claims, think they know everything, and all have enzyme deficiencies.
