Al Lamb has that excellent deal on the 2012's. Both an F and DCT last time I was up there. If I don't already have my '10, I'd snatch that up. Thought about trading up, but not sure TC, 1/10th of a gal and that gorgeous candy blue is worth the extra cash.

    Thoughts on the DCT...

But first the way I ride. I have a 2010 with ~6000 miles on the clock (not even broken in yet). This is my second bike after graduating from a KLX250sf (I am ambitious when it comes to learning curve). I never use the auto modes unless I am trying to conserve gas with D mode. The manual mode gives me the connection I need with the bike. I have a ton of long highway mileage with 75 mph speed limits to get to something twisty. And I am moving in a couple years so I am looking to the big viffer to be versatile for wherever I go next. enough about me.

The DCT is handy for several reasons:
    1. In town. Just twist and go kinda like an oversized scooter.
    2. In new places. Sudden traffic changes and/or random stop signs and/or the prolonged 3 mph crawl while you rotate your head like an owl trying to find your way... all easier on you and the bike.
    3. Downshifting anywhere. Midturn they can be smooth as butter and allow you to run out that 2 gear decel more. This maybe lack of rider technique though.
    4. I haven't missed a single upshift yet.
    5. Your able to wave bye-bye to your buddies from traffic lights after you have kill-switched them. (Middle aged with the mind of child)

And a few reasons why DCT is not handy:
    1. Slow speed Roll-on engagement of the clutch can be harsh sometimes. This may lead to a concussion level helmet to helmet slap when with the future Mrs. 4witSoul.
    2. Can't ride it to the local sin city harley bar without dumb comments and the financial district harley wine bar is curious how the DCT compares to their Porsche's tranny.
    3. Have to remember not to stall rental bikes on vacation.
    4. Expensive

I would buy another DCT (this year's black models look awesome in person) but I would want to see how the upgrades have improved it since my 2010. Ideally I would also like the whole bike to drop 50-75 lbs but this is another discussion.

Hello PCV Question on the DCT

Did the PCV Make a difference especially in that 1st and 2nd gear I just got an 2012 dct and notice that hesitation.
