Now have 33,000 miles on the clock, but have noticed intermittently that hard acceleration running (in 2nd gear) through 6-7,000RPM that there is a "micro-jerk" (very quick), a burble like a tooth (or 2) have been missed, but acceleration will continue normally if allowed.

Does not exhibit this in any other gear than 2nd.

I began to have a look at the gear parts & find that almost all gears have a notation, "This part is no longer available."

Aside from that worry... might anyone have a suggestions/tips as to what may cause such... & further could there be a rather easy fix instead of a crankcase split for analysis?

Your chain might be knackered or need tightening cuz a bad chain can jump sprocket teeth.

I was going to say sounds like you might have a chain going south. The fact that it only happens in second gear is odd.

    Greetings squirrelman & TNRabbit,

    Many thanks for the tips!
Just got back from "chain check"!
All parameters appear to be in order there, even though 7/8" is getting close to the 1" limit.
D.I.D. chain shows no apparent spalling or abuse even though it will soon approach its "stretch limit" as well with 15,547 miles since new.
Rear drive sprocket = no tell tale signs of wear but tomorrow may have 2 get a borescope to check the engine driven sprocket when it's light.
Again, your info is much appreciated.
