I bought my first VFR the beginning of the summer and have put 2500 miles on so far. After doing some thinking there are some things i want to do to the bike and the first being make it a little louder. after 45mph i cant even hear the exhaust anymore. does anyone have any experience with the leo vince VS any other exhaust? Second being the wind shield. I think i need to go a little taller because the stock one shoots the air right into my face and kills my neck and ears. third being handlebar risers. bringing them a little closer to me would help me out a lot. anyone with any experience with any of these please chime an all replies welcome

I would recommend a Laminar Lip.
Had about the same problem on my "92 VFR. Laminar Lip fixed it.
May take you a day or so to get used to the look, but it really works. Easy to install and does not effect MPG.

Dude...just installed a set....there is an allen bolt on the end bottom ..take it out, grab the insert tip with a rag and pliers and wiggle it out. there should be a bag with a replacable set of allen screws.

Leos are loud with the silencers out. You can also look t the GPR exhaust. The thundertones are kinda loud.

Look at the puig racing screen (double bubble) if you want something better than stock for windscreen.

I have the Leo Vince carbon's on my 03. When new even with the baffles out, they aren't terribly loud. They get louder after a few thousand miles. I like the sound and volume now at about 5000 miles.

If you're looking for risers most go with Heli-bars or Gen Mar risers. I'm running Gen Mars. Found a set on CL for short money so I went with those. You'll definitely get more lift from the Heli-bars.

One of the best ways to improve comfort on a 6th Gen is an aftermarket seat. The stock seat has a somewhat of downward angle to it & you tend to slide forward a lot. A Sargent seat is flatter & will keep you from sliding towards the tank. This will help relieve some wrist & elbow pain.

You can buy catless headers or chop and gut your cat. Not sure about more noise but will get air flo.
There are a couple other loud slipons out there. There are lots of clips on youtube for VFR exhaust.

Good luck with what you choose.
