Hi guys, Ive just over spent and burned a large hole in me wallet.

    Bought me a new Shoei Xr1000 helmet, Down from $800 to $600 - Diabolic2

And ive a power commander 3 usb and oxy disablers on the way - $535 from superbike supply (Honda shop quoted me $700)

    Couple Questions

    1) Does anyone have a good map for a 2006 model with Staintunes, all else stock.
Or should I download the one off the web site?

    2) Does a K&N Filter make much difference and is it worth the extra cost?

that is a lot for a that SHOEI Helmet I have a X-11 that I paid $504 for with free shipping.
I have been reading about the filter thing, I have a KN Air filter coming but I am not convinced now, that it will make a difference.

oops I am sorry I guess you are talking in AUS dollars,

Nice choice on the helmet - got me one awhiles ago and love it! Doin Bikes (they dyno and prep some of the bikes in the local supersport series) in Sydney reckon that the DNA filter is the only one they have seen that gives any real improvement in performance. Might be worth sussing out...

    Cheers!

    Installed me power commander

    Finally

And yes, it does make it ride much much smother at lower revs, also feels like a lot more low down power.

Im just running it with the downloaded mapping. Might get it dynoed at a later date

I think it is using a little more fuel, but I think I might just get 300km out of a tank

Well worth the upgrade and I recommend it to all owners - unless your a fuel miser.

K&N pays for it self in the long run, regardless of the Performance benefits. Stock filters are so expensive for something you throw away, and in my case I live in a dust bowl so cleaning on a regular basis is a requirement.
