Hi guys. I am a new member with an old bike. I ride everyday. My VFR has 101,000 miles and counting. Just replaced my regulator rectifier yesterday. It's my third. Otherwise, it runs great. I keep the oil fresh and make sure the chain, sprockets, tires and brakes are in good working order. It's my daily driver...... Needs some paint work. I don't keep it in the garage. The sun has done some fading and the body panels are quite scratched and worn out. I got a salvage title after insurance company totalled the bike. I told my kids, when they were young, that I didn't much care about looks anymore. I mentioned that they could fingerpaint on the damn thing if they wanted to and...... I'll be darned...... they did. Now i have rough looking bike that says "we love you, daddy'o" on the left fairing. I still lots of smiles when people notice it......
That's a good story! Welcome aboard. Would definitely like to see some pictures of that custom paint job though.
:welcome: to the madness  That bike still have many years to go so keep the miles rolling........ Great story but we need to see pictures...We are from Missouri
