Why did the VFR800 stop selling?

A few seasons back, some of the guys in WMRRA, race prepped a GW four banger to run in the Vintage Class. The rider was one of the (is this PC?) local fast boys. He kicked some serious ass.. Another guy who made a bundle with Microsoft strapped a blower on a Valkyrie. Probably another ass kicker after the pucker factor.

 

They have brought back Yugos... They are called Fiat 500s, "Smart" cars, or BMW minis.... Thats the point Honda missed out on is advertising this bike. Show the 800 on a commercial that is going through twisties with hot chicks throwing their panties at it,or even at a track ..... then show the guy picking up his chick dressed in hot leathers and riding off with bags and the bike would sell itself.....Its all about image and the American perception on commercials.... Put a Fiat 500 next to a Yugo on a commercial and Fiat sales would drop like a stone, but get some scantedly dressed "Italian" girls advertising the car and.....

GM has struggled with the concept of making vehicles people actually want to drive.
I like to think I look slightly cooler in my Grand Prix than Pap pap and Meemaw do....

 

Got some wheel time in the MiniCooper by BMW. Great little cages. I don't know about all the rest but I really like the panty tossing thing. The Italian girls might have to be "imported" or get rid of the moustaches.
