Side Stand Bolts - fall off! VFR 1200F

    Folks,

    The side stand bolt on my VFR 1200 fell off the bike during my tour of Ireland. Given that the ring of Kerry road surfaces are dismal, was still surprised that the bolts came lose and one fell off.
    This meant that the gear lever assembly was very lose too making changing gear pretty difficult on the twisty roads.

    Anyway, have a check on your bikes. Another guy told me that his side stand bolt fell off his Honda VFR 800!

    Have now replaced with new bolt and Locktite thread lock.

    Yup several 800 have lost their side stand bolt......I have lock tite on my and check every weekend

    Hmm guess the 6th and 7th Gens have more in common than people initially realized! Wonder how long till a wiring recall? LOL
