What does your username mean?

I rode Motocross for many years and My favorite bikes were of course Honda CR's!! My last bike was a service honda CR500AF....that is an new CR500 2 stroke motor massaged into a late model Aluminum Chassis from a CRF250 donor bike. Insanity is a good way to describe the power delivery, lol

 

If I say "No comment", that leave it up to everyone to speculate, doesn't it?

 

Also working for the gov't, and hopefully reitring from them, and with the state of our economy, I can guess where the decimal is. 20+ years doesn't mean much anymore...

When I bought my VFR it had after market exhaust and I found it to be quite loud. When I showed my wife the bike for the first time and started it she said it was a huge angry bumblebee (of course the bike is yellow with black). So that's the name of my bike, BumbleBee and 99 was added for the year, as "BumbleBee" was already taken.

 

$34,468.00 in Canadian money is like $84 bucks even, in real money.

Ya buddy that old looking guy is me. By bike speed this is going to sound slow. The Mirage will make it into the mid 90's with that 225, but when your skimming along on the back few inches of the hull it feels like your ready to fly!

 

Kerby = I purchased and still have a 2005 Honda Civic Si. I've always wanted a type R and the EP3 chassis is the closest thing the USDM market is ever going to get. I don't car what other people say... but a true Type R is a hatch, not a coupe or a sedan. Only thing I changed for it to become a true Type R was all exterior bumpers, fenders, and hatch with rear glass. I upgraded to suspension to full CTR/ITR. I swapped out the pewnie motor in put in a stroked 2.4L K20R. My EP3 is silver and with the JDM/EDM lipkit and bumper it reminds me of Kirby from the Nintendo era. My wife loves the Herbie movies, and sometimes I feel my car has a soul... i mean i talk to it every week. So I combined the two.. and got Kerby

 

We have an old hotel model Kirby that is still working fine. Never gave much thought about talking to it though.

 

Kirby. Isn't that an industrial strength vacuum cleaner that is loud enough to drown out the space shuttle blast-off?

 

I've been bass fishing for years - just unloaded my boat a few weeks ago. I was running an "old school" Evinrude 200 XP on there. I was no where near the 90's - but I think that most people who haven't been on a boat have no idea what its like to do 60 to 70mph on the water - not to mention 90. Especially in a 19 foot boat that when you're sitting down, you can put your hand in the water.

Helluva job you did getting that Mirage into the 90's with a 225. That's gotta be a rush.

 

Got an old hotel model with several attachments many moons ago...Works great. Needs a new belt about once every five years. Couple of bucks for one. Company is still in business. Bulletproof..

 

They better be for the price that they command! Definitely not inexpensive vacuums...

 

New ones have always been pricy. The one I bought years ago was about $30.00. Lot of bennies on the older models like easy to change belts and brushes in the motors. Mine is an old timer.. bought it as the friendly dudes on used car lots say, "previously owned."

 

It's a hoot. Amazing what a big difference the load plays with the top speed, just me 95, add someone at shotgun, 90-92, two more in back 80-85. Also, without a helmet the air pressure starts to make it a little tougher to catch your breath after 85 or so. Eyes start to water pretty good too.

When I lived in Campbell River many years ago I had a 17 foot tin Lund with a 35 Johnson on it. I thought that sucker went like a bat out of hell. She sure took on a lot of sea water when a south easter was blowing and a drastic ebb tide was coming in. Sometimes the bilge pump could not keep up and whom ever was with me had to bail at the same time. I seem to have this attraction to water. I used that boat of salmon fishing. Figured with the number of salmon I caught in that boat, I was only paying about $1500.00 per pound for Coho.
